[[TracNav(nocollapse)]] = MacOSX@LHC = MacOSX@LHC is a collaboration at the Laboratoire de l'Accélérateur Linéaire (LAL), part of the IN2P3 institute of CNRS, that aims at leveraging the state-of-the-art technologies found in MacOS X to facilitate the production, analysis and representation of the data of the LHC based HEP experiments. In order to achieve this goal, four objectives have been defined: * [wiki:GridIntegration Integrating] MacOS X platforms into grid platforms used at LAL, * [wiki:MulticoreProgramming Demonstrating] the use of multithreaded and GPU technologies in scientific programming, * [wiki:SoftwarePorting Ensuring] software from ATLAS and LHCb run correctly on MacOS X, and * [wiki:Visualization Adapting] event display and analysis programs to run on a wall of displays (WILD project at LRI). Apple has generously donated the majority of the [wiki:Installation hardware] used in this collaboration. More information can be found in the ARTS proposal that is attached to this page and from the project coordinators listed there.
