| | 5 | ARTS@LAL is a collaboration at the Laboratoire de l'Accélérateur Linéaire (LAL), part of the IN2P3 institute of CNRS, that has four objectives: |

| | 7 | * Demonstrating the use of multithreaded and GPU technologies in scientific programming, |
| | 8 | * Ensuring software from ATLAS and LHCb run correctly on MacOS X, and |
| | 9 | * Adapting event display and analysis programs to run on a wall of displays (WILD project at LRI). |
| | 10 | Apple has generously donated the majority of the hardware used in this collaboration. |
