    55ARTS@LAL is a collaboration at the Laboratoire de l'Accélérateur Linéaire (LAL), part of the IN2P3 institute of CNRS, that has four objectives:
    6  * Integrating MacOS X platforms into grid platforms used at LAL,
    7  * Demonstrating the use of multithreaded and GPU technologies in scientific programming,
    8  * Ensuring software from ATLAS and LHCb run correctly on MacOS X, and
    9  * Adapting event display and analysis programs to run on a wall of displays (WILD project at LRI).
    10 Apple has generously donated the majority of the hardware used in this collaboration.
