Web site

  • Landing page for quattor.org on SF (David)
    • Develop a stylesheet that could be reused by pages generated from Maven
  • Fix Trac server certificate CA (Michel)
    • 25/1: Firefox 3.6 and Safari don't seem to recognize TERENA certs yet (as IE7). Put a warning on new Quattor landing page + information on how to add it to the browser.
  • Enable Trac indexing by robots (Michel)

Documentation

  • Better integration of former MediaWiki content into existing section, remove duplicates (Michel)
    • Move Toolkit subsections 'For users' and 'For developers'
  • Update SINDES related documentation, improve based on BEGrid wiki and RAL experience
    • Collect existing stuff and put it in a subsection of Trac (James/Christos)
    • 16/12: collection done by James, waiting for an account on Trac to put it there
    • 6/1: first draft at https://trac.lal.in2p3.fr/Quattor/wiki/Doc/OS/SINDES, waiting for comments
    • 3/2: copy the BEGRID Trac page into QWG Trac (ask Belgium collegues). (Michel/James)
  • Fix/improve Quattor description in Wikipedia and Freshmeat
    • Fix page ranking (Wikipedia banner): get the comment updated of fix contents (Ian)
    • Reference to sites using Quattor in external links section (all)
    • Freshmeat later, concentrate on Wikipedia

Build tools

  • Final cleanups (Cal)
    • 9/12: High priority for RHEL 6: discuss temporary workarounds on mailing list (in particular @QTTR_PERLLIB@ macro added in perl-LC and perl-CAF by Luis).
    • 20/1: Luis about to install Maven and ready to have a look, will contact Cal for details.
    • 3/2: first version about to be ready to be tested by volunteers. Luis still ready to contribute.

Configuration Modules

QWG

  • Implement namespace improvements as suggested by Nick
    • category/vendor/model for hardware templates
    • vendor/version-arch or vendor/version/arch for OS templates (Michel)
  • Update CAF/LC to last versions (Michel)
    • Ronald fixed a couple of components: will send the list by email

gLite

  • LSC file support (Guillaume)
  • Argus machine type (Jerome)
    • 6/1: templates ready, to be committed soon
  • CE publishing into BDII to properly support multiple CEs and separate CE/LRMS server (Michel)
    • 9/12: almost done
  • Improvement in VO configuration to improve support of site parameters in VO configuration (Michel)
    • 16/12: done, documentation to be updated to reflect new processing of site parameters, new VO parameters required but waiting for the new VOConfigTask
    • 6/1: done, except documentation of changes in processing of VO site params

SCDB

  • Improvement of VOConfigTask to support VOMS server attibute IS_VOMSADMIN_SERVER now published in VO card (Michel)
    • Added in the backlog on 16/12 as this is urgently needed after the change in dteam VOMS servers
    • 16/12: Require a full rewrite of the task as the original version is unmaintainable

Monitoring

  • Implement NIKHEF suggestions to add flexibility and support hierarchy of Nagios servers (Ronald)
    • 9/12: in progress
    • 6/1: still in progress
    • 3/2: almost ready to be committed into QWG, waiting the merge of trunk into branches.
  • Gather the information on existing Quattor-related probes at sites (Christos)
    • 9/12: NIKHEF committed their probes
    • 9/12: Christos, work in progress

SINDES

  • Check with CERN agreement to import it in SF repository (Véronique): no issue
  • Check licensing (Véronique): no issue
  • Clarify official distribution point/channel (CERN): agreement to use Quattor repository
  • Put it in Quattor repository (Luis/James)
    • 3/2: delayed until official confirmation by CERN KTT about the agreement.

Miscellaneous

  • Assess feasibily of exporting current SVN to Git (Michel)
  • Calendar of events on the wiki or in SF (David)
    • May use "news" feature rather than calendar
  • Evaluation of SF trackers as a tool for implementing scrum backlogs (Michel/Nick)
    • 27/1: see ticket for proposed solution.
